It’s so awesome to see Whisk & Key put on Not Fest again this year - and take the festival to a new level. Three days, great venue, some of the best local bands. Make sure you catch our very own Yo, Put That Bag Back On, as well as LostBoyRec favourites like Oslow, Ride The Tiger, Hard Aches, Foxtrot, Initials, Shadow League, Goegria Maq, Ben David and Spencer Scott!
This will definitely be a party. Grab tickets here!

Outright are about to drop their debut LP and it’s going to be a ripper. Several east coast dates, including Tassie! Rad to see another show at Jura Books, with funds being raised for a serious issue in our community. Family Values and Palmar Grasp are supporting on that show, so you know it’s going to be amazing - plus Bake Flag are making an appearance!

Get out to one of these shows, and embrace the hardcore community that Outright are pulling together. Awesome to see bands talking about real issues in society.

This is in a few weeks and features some rad locals. Pay what you want, $2 is pretty cheap so chuck a few more $$ in if you can afford it.

As a label, we have to deal with Australia Post on a daily basis. Unfortunately, Aus Post is one of the most rigid and unforgiving organisations to deal with when running a DIY label. We try to keep our costs as low as possible by packing, addressing, stamping and posting everything ourselves (this keeps YOUR cost low too). It’s frustrating as hell going into your local PO and getting slugged $7.20 to send a fucking $5.00 cassette tape, so we have circumvented this problem in the past by taking care of it ourselves. However, today we’ve received a passive aggressive parcel from Australia Post including a bill stinging us for $194.50 for underpaid mail, and they are holding our operations at random until we pay the bill by the end of this week. We aspire to continue our label as a cost effective business for both ourselves AND the people who support us, this means keep expenses to a minimum for everyone involved. Due to this bill, we now have a sale on almost all online orders including some manhunt - human detritus 7” test presses (they will go up tonight). You can find our webstore at lethaldose.bigcartel.com. We are a small, two person operation with full time lives, we appreciate all our customers and their support and if you are able to help us wipe this debt and the smirks from Australia Post’s faces, we will be eternally grateful. - Alix & Marcel XXX

Could not agree more with this. Please help out Lethal Dose if you can and pick up some stuff at lethaldose.bigcartel.com - some great releases including Manhunt and The Weight.

Hey guys, make a weekday adventure to see a really intimate free show with some of the best songwriters I know. This is a new venue and could really open up some doors for local music, so instead of being a keyboard warrior, use your people power to enforce the importance of new and open venues in the newcastle area. As you know, we had to change venues for this show at the last minute, so if you can support us by coming out, it’d be much appreciated. Bring your mates, bring your mum, bring your feelings! 4/2 The Close, Raymond Terrace. This Thursday from 7:30. xoxo

This looks AWESOME. Get to it tomorrow!
